What We Offer
Therapy
We offer evidence-based clinical psychological intervention for adolescents and adults for concerns around anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, emotion regulation, grief and loss, and self esteem. We adopt a wide range of modalities and treatment is tailored to the individual. Overall, we aim to help you understand yourself better, develop coping strategies, improve relationships, and work towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.
Our fee is $220 for a 50 minute consultation which is to be paid at the time of your session. If you have a mental health care plan, you will receive a $141.85 rebate from medicare, leaving a gap of $78.15 per session.
Fee negotiable for Concession Card Holders.
Assessments
We offer comprehensive neuroaffirming Autism and ADHD assessments for adults using best practice testing materials and procedures. Assessments are conducted over a number of sessions with a full report provided at the end, which can be used to support NDIS and Centrelink applications.
Our assessment fees are $2000 for an Autism assessment, or $2500 to explore both Autism and ADHD. These fees include all assessment and feedback sessions, testing materials, and comprehensive report.
FAQs
-
Yes, we offer both. We are located at 1 Gwendoline Street, Mount Gambier, and can also offer telehealth sessions to those who are unable to attend in person.
-
Telehealth is having a session with a health care provider by phone or video. At Lunar Clinical Psychology we use Zoom, as it is easy to use and meets all encryption requirements as set out by the Australian Psychological Society.
To access telehealth consultations you will need access to a quiet, private space; and the appropriate device, i.e. smartphone, laptop, iPad, computer, with a camera, microphone and speakers; and a reliable broadband internet connection.
There may be some services for which telehealth is not appropriate or effective. We will consider and discuss with you the appropriateness of ongoing telehealth sessions during our intake conversation or as sessions progress.
-
You do not need a referral to make an appointment. However, a referral and a Mental Health Care Treatment Plan from your GP may allow you to claim a rebate for part of your fee for a number of sessions per year. GP referrals can be sent via email, fax or post.
